I am new to mahjong and have loved learning and playing Mini Mahjer with my daughters (ages 5 & 9). We got home on Friday last week and my youngest asked, “Can we play mahjong?” It made my heart melt that she loves it as much as I do. My mother has played my entire life, so it’s been fun to play with her and my girls. We even taught my husband to play. My MIL will learn next. The entire family loves it!
The tiles are large enough for young (and old) eyes but light enough for small hands. The artwork is pretty! I love how light it all is. I may use it as my “travel set.”
The Rackin' Rosie tiles are perfect! The face of the tile is a pretty standard size, but the tile is much thinner than others--akin to a Rummikub tile, but I think a little higher quality. I purchased them for travel and they are exactly what I had hoped they would be: lightweight, compact, yet large enough to see. They are also very clean lines, which will create minimal confusion for new players. The price point is great relative to other options available.
I will add that I had a bit of an email back-and-forth with the owners prior to purchasing. They were prompt, accommodating, courteous and all-around wonderful! I cannot say enough nice things. I've already recommended these tiles to three friends (they only arrived yesterday!!) and I will buy from Mini Mahjer again.

Loved the light weight tiles and size for travel. Racks seem too big for the mat! Good price point
Overall I am pleased with this game set! I especially like the kid friendly cards with different levels. My young daughters are able to play Mahjong and that’s exactly why I bought this set. I wish the tiles were thicker and the plastic/fish smell was awful. I had to set the game out in the sun to air it out and leave dryer sheets in the box to freshen it up. My friend also complained to me her new mini mahj set also smelled awful. Just a heads up. Overall, I am pleased with my game set. A lower price point would have been better.
