Ideal for beginners just learning to play Mahjong!
I love the idea of these tiles and the simple way to adapt the challenging game of American Mahjong to accomodate persons of all ages and learning skills. Here are my thoughts of the tiles themselves.
Pro's: I love the size, design, and weight of these tiles.
Con's: The tile design is just painted on and will eventually scratch or flake off, they are lightly colored and hard to read, and the tiles have rough/sharp edges not rounded and smooth.
Cute, clever way to introduce my passion to my grandchildren. The 5 year old is using the strips to make A Mahj and he gets very excited! Very clever!
I bought this for my brothers family as a gift. It was a great hit. He has been playing with his wife and grandkids. They have quickly learned the game and moved from the beginner level, through intermediate, to advanced. Such a great learning tool.
there was only one thing I did not agree with and that is letting a joker be in a pair for the first two levels. It’s hard enough for people to remember this and to teach it as being OK I think it’s wrong.
